Luci's 5th Birthday Party

We celebrated Luci's 5th Birthday with her friends on May 4th. Her actual b-day is not until May 26th, but between vacations, Memorial Day, and the end of the school year, we opted to have it a little earlier. I wanted to do something a little different for her party this year, so after some discussion with the birthday girl, we opted for a craft party at the Michael's store. Michael's has the room in their store that you can do different craft/decorating lessons in...well, they also rent it out for birthday parties! Luci decided on picture frame painting/decorating. We also had 2 people there that painted faces (one from Michael's & one of Luci's teachers!), and we had cupcake decorating compliments of Bliss Cupcake Cafe (aka Kerri and Taylor's cupcake shop!)!!! Luci had soooo much fun and her friends seemed to have fun as well! As you can imagine, it was a little hectic, but it was worth it to see her have so much fun!!

The Birthday celebrations are not over yet...She is going to have a party with the BA crew this weekend, and 6 days of celebrations in Branson with us and Mimi and PePaw!!! I love celebrating this precious girl!!

Mother's Day 2014

I had the privilege of celebrating my 5th Mother's Day this year with both of my biggest blessings!!! We went to Paris and attended church with my Mom, Dad, and Nana...and then the Hoskyn's came over for lunch! Mitch, Luci, and Emmi gifted me with a new comforter for our bed, flowers, and chocolate covered strawberries!

Emmi Update- She turns 8 months!!

Emmi turned 8 months on April 30th! She is growing soooooo fast!

She started officially crawling on April 17th! She is getting pretty fast now!

She has started pulling up in her crib and on the ottoman in the living room.

She is a Momma's girl. She gets upset when I leave her sight...and if I sit in the floor to play with her, she would rather just crawl into my lap.

She loves her sister. If she is unhappy, we just call Luci over and Emmi will start smiling right away!

She went to the doctor on May 7th. She has her first ear infection. We also had to start the nebulizer again for her wheezing. She weighed (fully clothed) 18lbs and was 28.5 inches long. That puts her in the 56%  for weight and 92% for length!

She is in size 3 diapers.

She is eating 4-6oz. every 3-4 hours and taking about a 7 ounce bottle before bed. She also eats a container of baby food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Her favorites are squash and sweet potatoes with corn. She also loves her fruit with cereal! She likes to have snacks when we are eating...so she gets a few puffs, or yogurt melts, or Mum-Mums!

She is wearing 6-9 month clothing and size 2 shoes. Some of her size 2's are getting snug!

She loves tags. All tags. She could care less about the toy if she spots a tag on it!

She LOVES her paci! I can see us having problems with this when she is older!

She loves feeling your face when she is getting fed her bottle.

She loves to pull my hair. And it hurts. Lol!

The car-seat is not her favorite place. Many tears are shed in the car these days.

She is going to "school" 3 days a week now from 8:30-2:30. My mom keeps her one day a week...and then I am off on Friday's. We are starting to adjust to the new schedule.

Easter Celebrations 2014

We had lots of fun celebrations this year to celebrate the season of our risen Savior!

We attended an egg hunt at my work on the Sunday before Easter. It was rainy that day so it was held indoors. It was super crowded, but the girls still had fun!

They got to meet the Easter bunny and take a pic with him. This was Luci's first time! According to her, this was the REAL Easter Bunny! :-)

We got to visit with Presley for a bit on Good Friday!

On Saturday, I took the girls to our church in FSM's Easter Egg Hunt! Luci had one of her bestest friends come too!! These girls are a sassy mess, but they had the best time!!! They also got a TON of eggs!

Emmi was more interested in her paci than hunting eggs!

On Saturday night, Luci and I made a bunny cake. We made one a few Easters ago and decided to do it again. We did a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting. Luci decided that she wanted to be solely in charge of decorations...and she was! :-)

On Easter morning, the girls woke up and discovered their Easter baskets. The Easter Bunny had also hidden a few eggs around the house for Luci to find!

We had Easter church and lunch at my parent's house. After lunch, Luci and I dyed Easter eggs. She also did a mini project with Mimi and made us matching headbands! ;-)
